Where are you from?
As a small child, I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. My family moved to a farm in Dover, Missouri when I was in 7th grade.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Benedictine College; a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas; and a Master’s degree in Public Administration (emphasis in Health Care) from the University of Missouri.
Describe your role at the Foundation in a Tweet (280 character limit):
My role is all about leadership, with our staff, with the Board of Directors, and as a representative of the Foundation in the communities we serve.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy creating partnerships and helping to create a collective vision to address the needs of the community. Once that vision is in place I especially enjoy working to bring it to completion.
What is one of the toughest challenges about your work?
Our communities have many needs that are important to their futures. Creating a shared vision on what will be the most impactful investments the IWF can make it challenging.
Where is your favorite place in Council Bluffs or Pottawattamie County and why?
River’s Edge Park. The park is beautifully designed and the views are stunning.
Who in the community inspires you?
People who care passionately about Council Bluffs and Pottawattamie County and are willing to give their time, talent and resources to help to make it a growing, vibrant place to live and work. There are many.
What would you like people reading this to know about the Foundation?
Good people on our staff, our Board, and our Advisory Committees are working hard to engage and listen to aid us in investing the resources we have to make a significant difference in Pottawattamie County.

I love nature and racket sports. There is nothing more relaxing to me than the beach.
