Iowa West Elects New Board Member, Officers
 

(Council Bluffs, IA) The Board of Directors of Iowa West recently elected a new board member to replace Mark Genereux, who moved out of state. Ron Dickinson of Council Bluffs was elected to serve a 3-year term on the Iowa West Foundation board. In addition, four board members were re-elected to serve 3-year terms on the Iowa West Foundation and Iowa West Racing Association boards. They are Theresa Barron-McKeagney (IWF), Doug Goodman (IWRA), Bob Schlott (IWF), and Warren Weber (IWF).

“Our Board members have the significant responsibility of being good stewards of the Foundation’s assets and ensuring that our investments have a lasting impact, said Pete Tulipana, President, and CEO of the Iowa West Foundation. “We are confident Ron and all our board members will serve as great contributors to achieving the vision of the Iowa West Foundation, which is a community where families choose to live and businesses choose to locate because of the quality of life and standard of living.”

Board officers for 2017 include:

  • Rick Crowl of Council Bluffs was re-elected as IWF Chair;
  • Amy Crawford of Council Bluffs was elected as IWF Vice-Chair;
  • Tara Slevin of Council Bluffs was elected as IWF Secretary/Treasurer;
  • Rick Killion of Council Bluffs was re-elected as IWRA President;
  • Matt Gronstal of Council Bluffs was elected as IWRA Vice-President; and
  • Doug Goodman of Council Bluffs was elected as IWRA Secretary-Treasurer

Bio
Ron Dickinson is a certified financial planner and certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in Council Bluffs. He has been a principal shareholder in Dickinson & Clark CPAs since 1991, as well as the founder and sole owner of Dickinson Investment Advisors since 1998. Dickinson earned his undergraduate degree in business from Hastings College and his master’s degree in taxation from the University of Texas. Currently, he serves as a board member and treasurer of VODEC, and he has served as an elder at First Christian Church in Council Bluffs for 27 years. His past involvement on community boards includes the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and the Community Housing Investment Corporation. Ron and his wife Beverly have three sons.
