Council Bluffs Corridor Master Plan

The Council Bluffs Corridor Master Plan proposes aesthetic and landscape improvements for the most signifigant civic roadways in the city of Council Bluffs. The goal of the plan is to provide a design and implementation framework for improving and unifying the image and character of the city's key public streets.

The corridors within this plan have been designated as either "Primary" or "Secondary". Primary corridors are the main north/south and east/west routes that connect Downtown Council Bluffs with the surrounding cities, towns and Interstate Highways. Secondary corridors are arterial streets and highways that connect Council Bluffs neighborhoods and key destinations with Primary Corridors, surrounding cities and towns, and Interstate Highways.

Primary corridors will be developed with a higher level of detail, amentities, and maintenance than secondary. To enhance the intended hierachy between Primary and Secondary Corridors, the streetscape design for each is distinctly different.
