If you have an idea that you believe can make life better in our region, you’re in good company. Iowa West Foundation grant recipients have leveraged more than $300 million in grants to improve the quality of life in more than 100 communities in southwest Iowa and eastern Nebraska.
We believe it’s important to work in collaboration with potential grantees to help them achieve success. In this section you’ll learn more about the process to apply for a grant. We’ll guide you every step of the way. If you have a question, we will help you find the answer; if we missed something, you have a direct link to someone who can help you.
The Iowa West Foundation accepts proposals three times per year. You’ll find the online application process is fast, easy, and convenient.
Carefully review this section of the website to better understand the process, the foundation's focus areas, what we fund, how you may qualify, how to apply and what type of follow up is required if your organization is awarded a grant.
In fairness to others, we adhere strictly to a 5:00 p.m. deadline on the filing dates. (When the 15th of the month falls on a weekend/holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day.) Applications submitted after 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date will not be considered.
The Letter of Inquiry period opens fifteen (15) days prior to the Letter of Inquiry deadline.
The deadline for Cycle 3 2016 applications is Friday, July 15 at 5 p.m.
